Bio
Mahsa R Fard, an Iranian-American artist based in Brooklyn, NY, explores the complexities of womanhood through her art. With a recent graduation from the LeRoy E. Hoffberger School of Painting, her work offers a compelling reflection on identity and societal expectations.
Rooted in personal experiences, Mahsa's art challenges cultural norms, particularly the constraints imposed on the female body. Through metaphorical exploration, she addresses themes of resilience and resistance, inviting viewers to engage in a dialogue about women's empowerment and agency.
Mahsa R Fard's visually striking compositions, often featuring hijab-clad figures on a symbolic chessboard, captivate audiences with their depth and symbolism. Her art serves as a powerful commentary on the universal struggles faced by women, making her a compelling voice in contemporary art.
